Founded in 1982, VAMED has become the leading global provider of a full line of services for hospitals and other health care facilities. The group has implemented more than 1,000 projects in more than 100 countries on five continents.
VAMED´s portfolio ranges from project development, planning and turnkey construction to the maintenance of healthcare facilities. The company also offers high-end services, technical, commercial, and infrastructural services as well as total operational management of healthcare facilities.
VAMED’s portfolio covers all areas of health care – from prevention and health tourism to acute care, rehabilitation and nursing. Furthermore, VAMED is a leading provider of rehabilitation services in Europe and, through VAMED Vitality World, the largest operator of thermal spas and health tourism resorts in Austria. In 2022, the VAMED group was responsible for about 24,800 employees worldwide generating a volume of business of about 2.767 Mio EUR.
Products and services
VAMED’s project business comprises consultation, development and planning, and the turn-key completion of projects, including financing engineering. VAMED is a leader in the area of Public Private Partnership models (PPP) for healthcare facilities.
For these business models, public and private partners set up a joint project company to plan, build, finance and operate hospitals and other healthcare facilities. So far, 27 PPP models have been implemented.
Services on offer range from the maintenance of buildings and of all technical devices, service of medical technology equipment, via facility management to the total operational management of healthcare facilities.
VAMED´s service business has a modular structure and comprises all facility management aspects in technical, commercial, and infrastructure terms, to the total operational management of healthcare objects.
VAMED’s portfolio of High-End Services includes the complete management of biomedical equipment, the whole hospital operating technology, sterile supplies, as well as IT development and equipment.
