Chronicle

1920

Engineer Max Benedict and Georg Jäger launch the BENEDIKT & JÄGER electrical workshop in Vienna.

1929

Start of contactor manufacturing in Vienna‘s 5th district.

1930

BENEDIKT & JÄGER produces switches for the technological conversion from silent films to “talkies”.

1946

With 45 employees the company takes up production again after sustaining severe setbacks during the war.

1976

BENEDIKT & JÄGER begins to export its products and expands its production facilities.

1990

BENEDICT GmbH takes over the management of BENEDIKT & JÄGER KG as a general partner.

1999

The company consolidates the production units in Vienna‘s 22nd district and expands the production space to 9000 m² and the office space to 1200 m².

2000

BENEDIKT & JÄGER KG is taken over completely by BENEDICT GmbH. The brand of BENEDIKT & JÄGER is still maintained. BENEDICT GmbH is wholly owned by the Benedict family.

2012

BENEDICT Swiss AG, with its headquarters in Bassersdorf, Switzerland, is founded as a subsidiary of BENEDICT GmbH.
